We currently find ourselves in troubling times, of anxiety and concern. But there is no place for violence like that we have recently witnessed. We must maintain our focus on the value of one another and on our Nation's Constitution.
Our office will continue to remain extremely vigilant while protecting and serving the citizens and visitors of Mariposa County. The safety of our community and our law enforcement officers is always our number one priority.
I would like to share a piece of a recently released statement from Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood, California State Sheriffs' Association President. "Last night’s attack on law enforcement officers during what started as a peaceful protest, is another example of the dangers our officers face on a daily basis. The calculated killing of those who have dedicated their lives to serve and protect our communities cannot continue. We must come together as a Nation and reflect on this senseless loss of lives."
The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office knows that they continue to be supported by our community and we thank you. We are humbled and honored by your support. You are why we do what we do.
