November 13, 2025 – Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office officials report that last week, the Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) led Operation Street Sweeper, a large-scale, three-day coordinated enforcement effort targeting gang-related violence and criminal activity throughout the greater Sacramento region.
This multi-agency operation focused on disrupting and dismantling violent criminal networks, removing dangerous offenders from our streets, and reducing the flow of illegal firearms, narcotics, and human-trafficking activity in Sacramento County.
Working alongside more than 20 specialized teams among local, state, and federal partners, law enforcement officers executed 32 search warrants, conducted over 200 vehicle stops, completed 58 field interviews, and performed more than 50 probation and parole searches during proactive and intelligence-driven operations.
The operation dismantled three clandestine drug labs, yielded over 140 arrests, and resulted in the seizure of 86 firearms, over $500,000 in illicit cash, as well as illegal drugs and narcotics, including marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and illegally obtained/stolen prescription medications.
