November 17, 2025 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that detectives from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) conducted compliance checks on registered sexual offenders throughout the county on Halloween night. During the operation, detectives contacted 38 registrants. Of those, 9 were found to be out of compliance with the terms of their release and were arrested and booked into the Public Safety Center, where they remain in custody.

These annual compliance operations have been conducted for the past five years to help enhance the safety of our community during Halloween. The Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole Unit for their assistance in this operation.
