November 21, 2025 – Mariposa, CA – Alliance for Community Transformations announces restructuring of its operations in response to longstanding financial challenges. Following a comprehensive financial review, the organization has determined that it must reduce its workforce to ensure the ongoing operation of its core emergency services, including its human trafficking shelter, homeless shelter, drop-in center (limited hours), and domestic violence programs.
“Alliance provides critical, life-saving services to some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” said the Alliance Board of Directors. “After evaluating all available options and pursuing every reasonable alternative to layoffs, we have concluded that immediate restructuring is necessary to preserve these essential programs.”
Alliance has faced structural financial deficits for many years, including rising operating costs and funding levels that have not kept pace with service demands. While prior leadership and staff worked to sustain operations, the cumulative financial impact requires decisive action to stabilize the organization.
Emergency services will continue uninterrupted.
“This decision was made with great care and deep appreciation for our staff,” the Board stated.
“Our employees are dedicated professionals who have served our clients and community with extraordinary compassion. Workforce reductions are not a reflection of their performance.”
Alliance is implementing a strategic plan to strengthen its long-term financial foundation and, when feasible, hopes to restore services and rehire staff in the future.
