The short comedy film “That’s Opportunity Knocking” is being screened as part of The GO West Fest on Sunday, July 17th at 5 p.m. at the Met Cinema in Oakhurst.
The festival runs three days beginning Sunday, July 17 and runs through Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
Award-winning comedy short loosely based on a true story!
Based loosely on true events, Thia Media and 99 Seat Productions present the comedy short, “That’s Opportunity Knocking”. Emmy-winning producer/cinematographer Cynthia Webster joins forces with award-winning writer/director Chuck Pelletier to create a hilarious take on a real life unsolved crime.
What if two out-of-work, desperate college graduates find a purse and are presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rob an apartment with little or no risk? What if the residents return home before planned for a late night romance?
Featuring the talents of recent USC MFA graduates: Thomas Anawalt, Satchel Andre, Charlotte Gulezian, and Moronai Kanekoa. Comedic actor C. Stephen Foster rounds out the picture.

Two wanna-be thugs attempt to rob an apartment; everything goes awry when the owners show up early... A game of cat and mouse ensues.
Rob and Merrit are two desperate men who are struggling to find work and resorting to robbing an apartment. The reluctant criminals use keys from a purse they snatched earlier. They begin to grab the loot, unfortunately for them the girl returns to her apartment with her roommate looking for her missing purse. This is only the start of the problems for the pair of robbers as Tim, the roommate, has plans of his own with Chelsea, the purse owner, and they don’t look to be leaving the apartment anytime soon.
