Parlier Officer Killed in Tulare County Crash 

December 1, 2025 – Parlier Police Department officials report that during the early morning hours, on Sunday, November 30, PPD Officer Jesus Dario Corona 4002025, Parlier Police Officer Jesus Dario Corona, twenty-nine years old of the Porterville area was on his way to work and was involved in a traffic collision in the 13500 block of Avenue, in southern Tulare County. 

Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Medical Services and the Visalia office of the California Highway responded to the scene where Officer Corona unfortunately had succumbed to his injuries.  The accident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol and there is no further information currently as they are early on in their investigation.

Officer Corona is survived by his wife, and six-year-old Daughter both of Porterville. He is also survived by his parents, two sisters of Terra Bella, and brother of Fresno. He was with the Parlier Police Department for approximately two years, where he was assigned as a Patrol Officer and served as a School Resource Officer for the Parlier Unified School District at Parlier High School for a period of time.

Chief Salvador, members of the Parlier Police Department, and the City of Parlier extend our deepest sympathy and utmost condolences to the family during this tragic time. We would also like to thank the first responders and allied agencies for their outpouring of support in our time of need.

Thank you to Sheriff John Zanoni and deputies of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office for handling our call for service for the next 24 hours to allow our Parlier Police Department family to be with our families to grieve at this difficult time. We will notify the community regarding the services at a later time when those arrangements have been made.
