December 3, 2025 – Merced CHP officials announce that Santa Day is almost here, and they wanted to remind everyone that this year’s event is taking place this Saturday, December 6, from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at 1640 Bell Lane in Atwater.

This will be the sixteenth year Santa Day has brought holiday cheer to families across Merced County. Families can stop by for photos with Santa, free holiday crafts for kids, and a cup of hot chocolate. The Holiday Vendor Fair will also be open with local makers and small businesses offering unique gifts while supporting the community.

Admission is free. We ask that visitors bring a new unwrapped toy to donate. Each donated toy earns a raffle entry for prizes donated by local partners including coffee, candy, sweaters, and other items.

If you cannot make it on Saturday, donations will still be accepted at collection sites throughout the area until December 15. Every contribution helps brighten the season for children and families in our community.

Santa Day continues to be a meaningful tradition for Merced County, and we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
