Music on the Green– the summer concert series brought to you by The Mariposa County Arts Council and its many fine sponsors – continues its 25th season with free concert performances by The Trespassers on Friday, July 22, and The GrassKickers on Saturday, July 23 at the Mariposa County Arts Park Stage.

The Trespassers

Hometown heros, The Trespassers write and cover songs influenced by Old-time and Gypsy Jazz and have been an anticipated favorite at Mariposa Evenings every season, playing at the Art Park since it’s opening in 2004. They are now respected veterens on the live music scene from the foothills to the Bay area, having played at The Strawberry Music Festival, The Fillmore Auditorium, and The Great American Music Hall, to name but a few. Their CDs have been played on radio stations from Santa Cruz to Fresno, San Francisco to L.A.

The GrassKickers

We welcome the return of The GrassKickers – popular perineal performers of past Music on the Green concerts – back to the Art Park stage on Saturday. Playing Traditional, Contemporary, and Original Bluegrass music with expert vocal and instrumental aplomb, this band of seasoned professionals also incorporates laugh outloud humor into their very entertaining set.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4^th and 5^th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5^th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.

The shows are free to the public – tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
