December 25, 2025 - National Weather Service Hanford Office officials report a Flood Advisory is in Effect Until 10:45 A.M. for a portion of central California, including the following counties, Mariposa and Merced. Some locations that will experience flooding include Bootjack, Mariposa, Catheys Valley and Jerseydale.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM PST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
  counties, Mariposa and Merced.

* WHEN...Until 1045 AM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 733 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Bootjack, Mariposa, Catheys Valley and Jerseydale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
