December 28, 2025 – Sonora Police Department officials report that on December 17, 2025, Sonora Police SPD drugofficers responded to a business in the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road after an employee reported locating suspicious items in the restroom. The employee also noted that the person associated with the items was attempting to leave the area in a white Honda sedan.

Officers located the vehicle upon arrival at the scene and detained the occupant, 46-year-old Lisa Marie Miller of Sonora. After further investigation, 3.34 grams of fentanyl were found to be in Miller's possession, along with other drug paraphernalia.

Miller was taken to the Tuolumne County Jail, where she was booked for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance with two or more prior convictions, which is a felony enhancement under Proposition 36 that allows certain drug possession charges with prior convictions to be charged as felonies. Miller was also booked on an active misdemeanor warrant for drug charges.

It's important to remember that the individuals mentioned in this report were arrested based on suspicion of the crimes they've been charged with. All such charges are mere allegations, and all defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
