Traffic Advisory – CHP Merced 

December 30, 2025 – Merced CHP officials report that a big rig overturned off State Route 99 northbound, south of Liberty Road, in foggy conditions in Merced County.

The collision resulted in significant damage to the perimeter fence along Campbell Avenue between Cressey Way and Arena Way. Campbell Avenue will be closed between Cressey Way and Arena Way to allow for recovery operations and fence repairs.

Traffic on SR-99 northbound is expected to be minimally impacted, but motorists should remain alert and reduce speed in foggy and low-visibility conditions.

Please plan ahead, use alternate routes if traveling on Campbell Avenue, and drive safely.
