December 31, 2025 - Sierra National Forest officials report the Sierra National Forest continues to be actively engaged in essential restoration projects. To facilitate these crucial repairs and ensure visitor safety, the Mammoth Pool Boat Launch remains temporarily inaccessible.

In partnership with Southern California Edison (SCE), we are rehabilitating the Mammoth Pool area. This closure allows our crews to safely remove significant hazards, repair roads, and install new, safe infrastructure.

What to know:

• • Area Restricted: Public access to the Mammoth Pool Boat Launch is temporarily restricted.
• • Focus: Removing safety risks and restoring the environment.
• • Goal: To provide a safe and enhanced recreational experience once complete.
