17-Year-Old Boy Steals E-Bike at Gunpoint, Fires Once 

January 1, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that just before 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at Avenue 308 and Road 50, in Goshen.

Deputies arrived on scene and learned the victim and a friend had located his e-bike that had been stolen earlier in Goshen. When they attempted to recover the e-bike, the same thief, a 17-year-old male, displayed a handgun and fired one time causing the victims to flee. Both victims are uninjured.

Deputies located the juvenile suspect in the area and arrested him for armed robbery.
