January 10, 2026 – Mariposa CHP officials announce the Mariposa Area will be discontinuing full-time front office operations at the end of the month.  The Mariposa Area will be merging with Oakhurst Area and front office operation duties will be taken over by the Oakhurst Area.  Crash reports can always be obtained online at: crashes.chp.ca.gov.  After January 30, 2026, you can obtain in person services at the Oakhurst Area office or any CHP office during regular business hours.

The Mariposa front office hours will tentatively be open to coincide with the Department of Motor Vehicles public office hours, which are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
