Gold-Tagged Trout in Lake McClure now worth $500
August 3, 2016 - Fishing at Lakes McClure and McSwain could now net anglers even bigger bucks.
Earlier this year, 10 trout with golden tags were planted in Lakes McClure and McSwain.
Five fish remain in Lake McClure.
Initially worth $250 each, any Gold Tagged Trout caught in Lake McClure will now be worth $500.
One fish remains in Lake McSwain and will be still be worth $250.
As before, anglers who fetch a gold-tagged trout will be listed on the MID Parks website and Facebook pages. Updates will continue to be provided on the number of fish caught and the number of fish still waiting to be caught. Complete information can be found here.
All winners must have a valid California Fishing License in their possession. Children 15 and under do not require a CA Fishing License.
Prize awards will be paid by check within 30 days of a validated catch.
