DUI + Dense Fog = Deadly Combination 

January 22, 2026 – Madera CHP officials report that a 22-year-old impaired driver ran a stop sign and violently struck a metal pole on Road 35 and Avenue 9, on January 18, 2026, just after 7:30 p.m. One bad decision nearly turned deadly. Fortunate to survive. Fortunate no one else was involved or hurt.

Fog limits visibility. Driving under the influence destroys judgement. Together, they can be deadly for you AND innocent motorists. Never drive impaired.
