Homicide Investigation 

January 27, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at approximately 9:12 p.m., Central Policing District officers responded to the business complex at Dakota Avenue and Hughes Avenue regarding a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers located 19-year-old Joe Rodriguez (pictured below) suffering from a gunshot wound and pronounced deceased on scene.

Homicide Detectives believe a disturbance involving multiple subjects occurred prior the shooting. Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood and seeking witnesses who may have information about the incident.
