Homicide Investigation 

January 27, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at approximately 2:11 p.m., Southeast Policing District officers responded to the area of Mayfair Boulevard and Normal Avenue regarding an injured person. Officers located a 25-year-old Tamika Hoy, who was injured. Officers later determined Hoy was suffering from a gunshot wound. Hoy was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, Hoy was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

Homicide Detectives believe a disturbance involving multiple subjects occurred prior to the shooting. Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood and seeking witnesses who may have information about the incident.
