January 28, 2026 – Mariposa County Health & Human Services officials announce woodsmoke reduction program.

We are still accepting applications for the Woodsmoke Reduction Program!

This program is voluntary and offered by our Energy Assistance Program. The Woodsmoke Reduction program is designed to help households replace uncertified wood-burning stoves, fireplace inserts or fireplaces used as a primary source of heat with a cleaner burning and more efficient heating device.

The program offers vouchers toward the purchase and installation of a propane, electric or EPA-certified wood burning heating device.
