August 10, 2016 - Merced College’s 2016 Fall Semester begins next week, and when students arrive on campus, staff will be on hand to assist them.

“We’re calling this ‘Welcome Week,’ and we’ll be focusing our entire efforts this week to welcome our students and help them navigate around campus,” said Anne DiCarlo, director of Office of Relations with Schools. 

A schedule of activities to welcome students to Merced College is planned, including having college staff at six information tables on Monday, Aug. 15 and Tuesday, Aug. 16.  The tables will have information for students, including class schedules, classroom locations, add/drop forms, and other basic information.

“The first week of the fall semester, especially for our new students, can be a bit confusing,” DiCarlo said.  “We want to answer their questions and point them in the right direction.”
