High-Country Health Food and Cafe in Mariposa California

February 5, 2026 - WASHINGTON—This Valentine's Day, join Wish of a Lifetime from AARP for its annual Cupid Crew effort to send love and deliver cards and roses to older adults. Across the country, Cupid Crew is mobilizing 25,000 volunteers to deliver roses and heartfelt cards to older adults who might otherwise spend the holiday alone.

Now in its 13th year, Cupid Crew has delivered more than one million roses and cards to seniors nationwide, bringing connection, comfort, and a reminder that no one is forgotten. This year alone, volunteers will participate in 1,600 local activations in 48 states and Washington D.C., reaching an estimated 250,000 older adults on Valentine’s Day.

Over four in 10 older adults—over 57 million Americans—report feeling lonely, a reality that can feel even heavier on Valentine’s Day. Against this backdrop, Cupid Crew stories are unfolding in communities nationwide, from senior living communities and rehab centers to private homes, offering a powerful, hopeful lens on aging, intergenerational connection, and the simple acts that can make older adults feel more connected.
