Wanted: Public Assistance Requested for Suspect of Sexual Assault on a Minor 

February 8, 2026 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a sexual assault on a minor that occurred in the community of Lamont.

On December 8, 2025, a juvenile female was walking home from her bus stop near the intersection of Buena Vista Boulevard and Weedpatch Highway when she was approached by an unknown adult male. The suspect, described as a White male, with tattoos covering both arms, was driving a white, four-door work truck and asked the victim if she needed a ride. The suspect subsequently followed the victim and sexually assaulted her.

Adult White male

Both arms covered in tattoos

Vehicle Description:

White, four-door service/work truck

Equipped with a utility rack and tool drawers
