One-Way Traffic Controls for February 22-28, 2026 

February 20, 2026 – MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49) in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

  • One-way traffic control from Chowchilla Mountain Road to Sierra National Forest East Entrance for utility work on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or construction related issues.
