February 24, 2026 - Sierra National Forest officials report the Bass Lake Ranger District, on the Sierra National
Forest, will be continuing pile burning operations at the Lower Beasore Fuels project on Tuesday, February 24. All required approvals have been successfully acquired.

Fire Management staff estimate prescribed burning work to continue through Mid-May or as weather conditions allow.
Residents and visitors in nearby mountain communities (Bass Lake northern area, and The Pines) may see smoke and flames due to prescribed burning.

If you see smoke or flames near the project area, please do not report it.
- Visibility:
Smoke may be visible from Tollhouse Rd, Auberry Rd, Hwy 168, and the https://ALERTCalifornia.org camera network.
- Safety:
Please use caution when traveling nearby and watch for fire crews and equipment on the road.
Fire management officials work with California Air Resources Board and San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) smoke specialists to plan prescribed burns.
