March 3, 2026 - CLOVIS, Calif. — The Sierra National Forest (SNF) Law Enforcement & Investigations (LE&I) is requesting public commentary for the California 2027 State Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program application cycle (G26).

As part of the grant process, SNF LE&I is hereby legally notifying and requesting public comment on the preliminary draft application submitted to the State. Public feedback will assist with the state’s review of the preliminary grant application until the final application is submitted.

Each year the State of California makes funding available through the OHMVR Grants Program. The Grants Program provides financial assistance to eligible Law Enforcement agencies such as Forest Service Law Enforcement for protection of life and property, including natural and cultural resources related to OHV Recreation and motorized access to non-motorized recreation. 

Beginning March 3rd, 2026 the SNF’s grant application will be available for public comment and review at https://ohv.parks.ca.gov/ It will be open for public comment from March 3rd, 2026 through May 4th, 2026 ending at 5:00 p.m. PST
