Caught on Camera: Help Us Identify These Granite Bay Theft Suspects
March 9, 2026 – Placer County Sheriff's Office officials report that they are requesting the public's assistance in identifying two suspects involved in thefts from vehicles in the Granite Bay area.
Early on the morning of February 25th at about 4:00 A.M., two suspects were in a Granite Bay neighborhood along Douglas Blvd., east of Auburn Folsom Road. Surveillance footage provided by citizens captured images of the suspects as they attempted (and succeeded) in opening vehicle doors and removing property.
The first of the two suspects appears to be a male in his 20s to 30s, with dark hair, glasses, and a dark full beard, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, brown or green shorts, and black shoes. The other suspect is of unknown gender, but appears to be in their 20s, wearing a black hooded jacket with reflective markings, long dark pants, black shoes, and a floral or similar pattern facemask. There is no vehicle associated with the two suspects. We know these surveillance videos don’t give the clearest view, but our hope is that someone out there may have information that can help.
If you have any information, or recognize either of the two suspects, contact the Placer County Sheriff's Office. You may also leave a tip at 530-889-7830.
