March 12, 2026 – Merced Police Department officials report that they are requesting the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in multiple thefts at Best Buy in Merced.

The suspect shoplifted merchandise totaling over $2,000 on February 11, February 12, and March 3. After the thefts, the suspect reportedly fled the area in a silver vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu.
