March 23, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that just after 9:00 p.m. on March 21, 2026, a Farmersville police officer heard what he believed to be gun shots coming from the Linnel Camp area on North Mariposa Street in Visalia. Farmersville police and TCSO deputies went to the scene immediately.

When they arrived, officers and deputies found two teenage boys who had been shot. CPR was initiated on one victim. But he was unresponsive. Ambulance personnel arrived shortly after and took over life saving measures.

Both victims were then taken to a local hospital where one died from his injuries. The other is expected to recover.

Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
