March 25, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on March 19th, Fresno County Sheriff’s FCSO school employeedeputies arrested 49-year-old Carlos Rivas of Kerman.  He was booked into jail on two felony charges.  One for annoying a child and the other for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.  His bail was set at $60,000.  He has since posted bond and been released from custody.

Rivas was employed at the Raisin City School District Office, serving as the Food Service Coordinator.  He was also involved in coaching sports.  Immediately after his arrest, the school district placed Rivas on administrative leave.

Deputies do not have any information about there being additional victims.  However, this does remain an ongoing investigation.
