March 26, 2026 – Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office officials report that the Tuolumne Narcotics Team (TNT) has been investigating Joseph Eugene Oneal Foletti (34 years-old) for selling fentanyl in Tuolumne County.

On the morning of March 20, 2026, TNT Detectives executed a search warrant at Foletti’s residence located in the 9300 block of Highway 49 in Sonora; simultaneously, a traffic stop was conducted in the Columbia area.  Foletti was taken into custody without incident.

During the service of the search warrant, approximately 14 grams of fentanyl, 7 grams of methamphetamine, $1,000 in cash, drug packaging materials, and additional evidence consistent with the sales of fentanyl and methamphetamine were located.

Foletti admitted to swallowing a small bag of fentanyl during the traffic stop and was taken to a local medical center for treatment. Foletti is facing multiple felony charges related to the possession, transportation and sales of both fentanyl and methamphetamine.
