March 27, 2026 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials report that this past weekend, multiple vehicle burglaries and thefts from vehicles were reported in the Riverstone community.

Deputy Cabrera, who is assigned to the area, began the investigation. With assistance from community members and surveillance systems, including neighborhood cameras, a suspect vehicle was identified as a rental out of Fresno.

The investigation was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Team (MADSET), who worked to locate the individual responsible. On March 26, 2026, MADSET deputies located and detained a male suspect at a property in Fresno County.

Following the service of a search warrant, deputies recovered a majority of the stolen property. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail for possession of stolen property.

A second suspect connected to these crimes is currently in custody in Fresno County on unrelated charges and will be transported to Madera County upon release.
