April 1, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 5:47 p.m., Northwest Policing District officers responded to the intersection of Shaw Avenue and Dale Avenue for a report of a shooting victim. Officers located 30-year-old Danilo Rodas unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers and EMS personnel rendered medical aid to Rodas. Rodas was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Homicide detectives learned Rodas was involved in a disturbance at the location with an unknown individual, resulting in Rodas being shot. Detectives are currently canvassing for surveillance video and witnesses in the area. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to please contact the Fresno Police Department.
