April 3, 2026 – Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report that on the evening of April 1, 2026, Deputies were dispatched to the Le Grand Village Market for a report of a robbery. Deputies learned four subjects went into the store and began taking bottles of liquor from behind the cashier counter and put them into their backpacks.

While stealing the liquor, one of the suspects threatened to kill the cashier. Deputies also learned that the same subjects were believed to have previously stolen items from the store. All four suspects were on scene and placed under arrest.

Two of the suspects, identified as 19-year-old Jordan Hamlin and 18-year-old William Hernandez, were booked into the Merced County Jail for robbery. The other two suspects were identified as juveniles and booked into the juvenile hall for robbery as well.
