Sonora Woman Arrested for Felony DUI
April 3, 2026 – Sonora Police Department officials report that on March 25, 2026, at 5:28 p.m. officers with the Sonora
Police Department received a call regarding an intoxicated female who was seen driving a red Jeep. Officers arrived and located the matching vehicle and suspected driver, identified as 51-year-old Tara Hill, at Restano Liquor.
Officer conducted a Standard Field Sobriety test and determined Hill was under the influence. Hill was also identified as the driver by the caller who saw Hill driving.
Officers also learned that Hill had 3 prior DUIs within the last 3 years and was on probation for DUI. Hill was taken into custody and transported to the Tuolumne County Jail. Hill was booked for felony DUI with prior convictions, misdemeanor DUI while on probation, and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license for DUI.
It’s important to remember that the individuals mentioned in this report were arrested based on suspicion of the crimes they’ve been charged with. All such charges are mere allegations, and all defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
