April 4, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Saturday, March 7, 2026, Fresno Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Blackstone Avenue and El Paso Avenue for a report of a large physical disturbance. The call was quickly upgraded due to a ShotSpotter activation in the same area. Officers arrived and found evidence that shots had been fired; however, the suspects responsible had fled the area.
The Multi Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) responded and took lead of the investigation. MAGEC confirmed that a disturbance had occurred which resulted in shots being fired.
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, MAGEC conducted a Search Warrant and apprehension operation which led to the arrest of two suspects: 21-year-old Alisha Gonzales, and an 18-year-old, who was 17 at the time of the shooting. Gonzales has been booked into the Fresno County Jail and the second suspect at the Juvenile Justice Campus for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and accessory.
