Shooting Suspect Arrested Following Investigation 

April 5, 2026 – Modesto, CA – Modesto Police Department officials report that on April 3, 2026, at approximately MPD shooting11:30 a.m., Modesto Police officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Miller Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to witness statements, the suspect fled the area in a black Dodge Charger. Following an extensive investigation, the vehicle was later located at a residence in Salida. Through additional investigative efforts, detectives identified the suspected shooter as 25-year-old Andreuss Brown, from Modesto, who was on Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS) at the time of the incident.

Brown was subsequently located at a residence on Atwood Drive in Modesto and taken into custody without incident. He is being charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, shooting at an occupied dwelling, felon in possession of a firearm, and conspiracy.

Additionally, Isabel Perez was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.
