April 16, 2026 - The Sierra National Forest would like to let our visitors and local community know that construction on the Middle Miami Bridge is scheduled to begin the week of April 20th.

Our contractor will be mobilizing equipment to the site, and demolition work is expected to start that same week. Please use extra caution when traveling in the area.

What to Expect:

• • Road 6S41 will have heavy equipment entering and exiting. Stay alert for large vehicles.
• • Roads 6S17 and 6S15 will be the primary detour routes for the public and will also be used by construction vehicles. Expect increased traffic and possible delays.

Your safety is our top priority. Please obey posted signs, stay aware of your surroundings, and give construction crews plenty of space.
