April 21, 2026 – Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report that on April 16, 2026, our Detectives Bureau, along with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, served a search warrant related to the prohibited possession of firearms at a house in the 3800 block of Perez Drive in Merced.

Investigators located a Smith and Wesson MP Shield handgun, a GSG-16 rifle, an FMK handgun, four grams of Cocaine, and eight grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms. 29-year-old Elias Camarillo was arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm and a felon in possession of ammunition.
