The Oakhurst Library will be hosting their 3rd annual Authors’ Faire on Saturday, September 24th. This annual event has become so popular with our mountain communities, the library decided to move it to a bigger venue. This year’s event will be held at the Oakhurst Community Center, 39800 Road 425B, Oakhurst. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and close at 3:00 p.m.
The library has invited Central Sierra writers, publishers, editors, illustrators and various writing groups to come to the library. The general public is invited to:
If you’ve got a story in mind, this is your opportunity to talk to publishing professionals about your story ideas.
If you love to read, come and meet these Central Valley writers. They’ll be happy to tell you about their newest books and sign one of them for you.
If you are a writer, you can register for the event at: www.surveymonkey/r/author2016. We have arranged with several literary professionals to make presentations about marketing yourself and your books. We are also going to videotape author interviews and post them on our event’s new website (CentralSierraAuthorsFaire.com).
A number of local businesses have donated raffle prizes and the drawings will start at the intermission (12:00). The library has arranged for food to be available so you can stay for lunch.
If you have any questions about this special presentation, please call the Library at: 559-683-4838 or email: monicaann@sti.net. Visit: www.oakhurstfobl.com.
