May 8, 2026 – Mariposa County Health & Human Services officials announce that there are new CalFresh work and community engagement requirements. This is called the Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD) rule.
Starting on June 1, 2026, you may have to work or participate in a community engagement activity if you:
- Are between the ages of 18 and 64, and
- Do not have a disability.
