High-Country Health Food and Cafe in Mariposa California

Join us for a meaningful and memorable weekend.

May 8, 2026 – Mariposa County Fairground officials announce the 31st Annual Mariposa Powwow Spring Celebration returns on Saturday, May 9 & Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Mariposa Fairgrounds located at 5007 Fairgrounds Road.

On Saturday, festivities begin at 10:00 A.M. with Grand Entry at 11:00 A.M., continuing through the evening.

This special event brings the community together through traditional dancing, drumming, and ceremonies that honor Native American culture and heritage. Open to the public, it is a unique opportunity to experience something truly powerful here in the Sierra Nevada foothills.

This powwow helps fund the Nellie Tucker Scholarship for Native American students in the area to further education through college. The powwow and the scholarships are administered through committees under the American Indian Council of Mariposa County (AICMC). The AICMC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization administered by the Southern Sierra Miwuk Nation.

This is an alcohol, drug, and tobacco free event.
