June 3, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that at around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, a disturbance
took place between two men outdoors, between the Hall of Records and the main Superior Courthouse.
One of the men ultimately collapsed after being stabbed multiple times. Deputies working in the courthouse rushed to the scene and provided medical aid to the victim until an ambulance arrived and transported him to the hospital. Witnesses identified the suspect and deputies quickly took him into custody. He is 25-year-old Alexander Resendiz of Parlier. He has been booked into jail on a charge of attempted homicide.
The victim is in serious condition and is expected to survive his injuries.
Deputies are still working to determine a motive and whether or not the two men know each other.
