TCSO Deputies on Scene of Possible Drowning at Kaweah Lake 

June 12, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that just after 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, TCSO Deputies were called to Kaweah Lake for a possible drowning.

When rescue crews arrived, they were told a nine-year-old girl had gone missing in the water.

A man nearby heard the commotion and was able to find the girl and pull her out of the water. He immediately began CPR and deputies took over when they arrived.

The child was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
