June 12, 2026 – CAL FIRE reports arson-related arrests for the first five months of 2026.

Arson is a crime that puts lives, homes, and communities at risk.

Through May 2026, CAL FIRE investigators made 43 arson-related arrests statewide. Safeguarding our communities means holding arsonists accountable and working to prevent the next fire before it starts.

CAL FIRE law enforcement officers investigate fires, interview witnesses, issue citations, and make arrests when crimes are committed.
