June 21, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that just before 1:00 p.m. on June 19, 2026, TCSO Deputies were called to the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Center in Visalia for an assault.

When Deputies arrived, they learned five teen inmates had beaten up another 17-year-old inmate, causing severe injuries to his head.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown.

All five suspects are in custody on felony assault charges.
