June 23, 2026 - Sierra National Forest officials say what an EPIC few weeks it's been for the High Sierra Ranger District's OHV volunteers and staff!

Thanks to an absolutely monumental amount of hard work and dedication, nearly every single OHV trail is now either OPEN or ready to welcome you for the season!

We're thrilled to announce that Red Mountain and Brewer OHV trails have been roaring open since June 15th! A HUGE shoutout to Ready 2 Rock, Krawler Krew, Lock in Low, Clovis Independent and 4X4 Him for dedicating their entire weekend to clearing paths and even battling those pesky mosquitoes!

Get ready to hit the dirt because Swamp and Spanish trails are gearing up for their grand opening on July 1st! Another massive THANK YOU to Clovis 4X4 and Hill Hoppers for their phenomenal efforts!

And for the ultimate adventure, the legendary Dusy-Ershim trail is in our sights! Throughout July, our tireless volunteers and Forest staff will be pouring their hearts into making it ready for an August 1st opening! We know Dusy-Ershim will be a beast, with its share of fallen trees and obstacles, but if recent trail openings are any indication, our teams are absolutely up for the challenge! We're ready for anything!

This weekend is Moonlight Madness.  High Sierra OHV Crew will be in the Tamarack Snopark promoting the “Tread Lightly” message Friday 2 PM to 4 PM.  On Saturday we will be at Base Camp holding short presentations starting at 10 AM.
