June 24, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a deputy arrested 21-year-old Josue Torres De La Torre of Fresno.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of evading police, reckless driving, street racing and driving under the influence. He has since posted bond and been released from jail.
Shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20th, a Fresno County Sheriff’s deputy saw an Infiniti Q50 car spinning donuts in the middle of the intersection at Clinton and Cornelia Avenues in Fresno. The deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver, later identified as Josue Torres De La Torre, sped away. He travelled a short distance, going in the wrong direction on Shields Ave., before hitting a curb and disabling his car. The deputy and assisting patrol units contacted De La Torre and his three passengers. De La Torre showed signs of intoxication, so a California Highway Patrol officer conducted a DUI investigation and determined De La Torre was drunk at a level more than three times the legal limit.
A further investigation showed De La Torre was on probation for a previous DUI arrest and was supposed to have an ignition interlock device installed on any vehicle he was to drive.
If you have additional information about Josue Torres De La Torre, please report it by contacting the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office at 559-600-3111.
