July 23, 2026 - The Sierra National Forest will have a contractor begin paving Rock Creek Road (9S09), from Dinkey Creek Road to the junction with OHV trail 26E219, beginning July 27. Work is expected to continue for approximately 8-10 days. Delays may be expected traveling in this area as access will be limited. Please plan accordingly.

Temporary closures will occur daily throughout construction to ensure the safety of the public and onsite personnel:

• Closed: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Open: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
• Closed: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Public safety is the top priority for the Forest Service. Please drive with caution, stay alert and obey posted signs and road controls. Also, watch for workers and equipment.
