August 6, 2026 – Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on July 29, 2026, at approximately 11:33 p.m., a deputy was patrolling the Jamestown Road area when they observed a vehicle stop in front of a mailbox. The deputy then watched as two occupants exited the vehicle, approached the mailbox, and returned to the vehicle before driving away. The deputy made a traffic stop near Jamestown Road and Gold Links Road and contacted the vehicle’s occupants, identified as Angaleena Ann Marie Correll (21), Chase Fodrie (19), and Sunny Deanne Walker (49), all of Modesto.
During the contact, the deputy discovered the occupants were in possession of a basket containing a large quantity of mail addressed to numerous individuals from locations throughout Tuolumne County and neighboring counties.
After additional deputies arrived, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Deputies located additional stolen mail and checks belonging to victims from Tuolumne County, Ripon, Manteca, and Modesto, along with a credit card that did not belong to any of the vehicle’s occupants.

In addition to the stolen property, deputies located suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and Xanax pills inside the vehicle.
All three suspects were arrested and transported to the Dambacher Detention Center, where they were booked on the following charges:
