TRAFFIC ADVISORY 
One-Way Traffic Controls on State Routes 49 & 140 for August 23-29, 2026 

August 22, 2026 – Mariposa County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49) and SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 49

• Overnight one-way traffic control from Miller Road to Macready Way for electrical work beginning Sunday, August 23, through Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• Traffic break from the Madera/Mariposa County Line to Woman Road for utility work on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

State Route 140

• Traffic break at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
